I have explored the world of art beginning with an ordinary pencil as a child, then pastels, watercolorand ink, I thought I would settle on acrylics as my primary media. However, since moving to Arizona, I found that acrylics dryed too fast so that now oil is my primary media.

Several years ago I had the privilege of observing Caroll Forseth painting a large mountain scene using only  a painting knife! I was intrigued and inspired! Although it has taken me a while to develop my techniques, my last 4 paintings of Arizona scenes are done solely with painting knives. I am sold on the technique! I find I am able to express myself better this way. However, I know that I will continue to use a brush for some subjects i am sure.
