My objective as an artist is primarily to represent landscape scenes that I enjoy in a way that emphasizes the beauty that I see.

My love for art began as a child drawing cartoon characters, particularly Dick Tracy. My drawing skills improved while attending summer classes in high school. Years later, during my career in computer applicadions development and management, I attended evening classes in pastel drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting.

Near the end of my business career, I took classes in Chinese ink and watercolor painting. I continued my education in figure drawing and pastel painting after my retirement.

My paintings have been in a number of juried art shows beginning with my Chinese ink paintings in 2002-2004. Followed by watercolor, pastel and acrylic paintings as a member of the Rockville Art League. Several of his paintings in each category are in private collections.

After moving to Arizona in 2011, I began painting in oils. I am currently a member of the following:
- Westbrook Village Fine Arts
- Westbrook Village Photography (member of the board for the past 7 years including President for two years)
- Arizona Art Alliance (juried in oil & acrylic)
- Vanguard Artists (a juried artists group in Arizona)

I have received awards from Rockville Art League (including Second in pastels), Westbrook Village Fine Arts (including Second prize) and a first prize in photography from the Arizona Camera Club Council.
